Yahoo!Mail Beta is Unicode-savvy

You can see for yourself that the new Yahoo!Mail Beta is quite Unicode-savvy -- transparently setting the Content-Type "charset" mail header value to "utf-8" or "us-ascii" depending on the message content.

To activate the Beta version:

1. login to your Yahoo!Mail account,
2. click on http://edit.yahoo.com/config/set_intl,
3. set to "Yahoo! UK",
4. click the "Try the Beta" button.

To get back to your original language version, just follow steps 2 & 3.

Big problem is that the service is much slower than Gmail...
